Salary for these positions will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. English is the main language of instruction and of institutional communication. Previous experience in teaching is a plus and Spanish proficiency is desirable, but not required. in a relevant discipline from a recognized school by the date of the appointment. They will have the opportunity to interact and work closely with faculty from other disciplines as well as provide intellectual leadership in their area.Īll applicants should have earned a Ph.D. The successful candidates have the potential to develop an active research program resulting in publications in top-tier peer-reviewed journals. We welcome applications for openings in our graduate and undergraduate programs in the Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, Marketing & Communications and Operations & Business Analytics departments. But we may go back to the dual system.IE University´s Business School invites applications for tenure-track positions at the Assistant professor level, starting in the 2024 academic year. Right now we are pushing the dossier system, because Interfolio offers a service that costs applicants a few dollars, makes our life a lot easier, and doesn't affect reference writers. That takes the burden off of reference writers, and for the universal stuff like uploading a JMP and stuff we might as well use their system. If HR wants you to sign up for an account on our system and fill out a demographic questionnaire, and that is enough to make you not apply, then perhaps you aren't interested enough in our job.īut we have used the JOE system in the past. We have our own system because HR wants a few specialized forms filled out and we don't mind burdening applicants a little. That makes a lot of sense to me, depending on how it is done. What I don’t understand is the schools that make you apply with both systems for one job. ^I understand that some schools are so beauracratic that you have to use the schools unique HR portal rather than JOE or EJM. I think this makes sense, especially if you are LRM in an undesirable or otherwise strange location I do realize the irony that I said that we do it to save ourselves time and money and are more than ok with it costing our applicants time and/or money. If that extra cost weeds out a few dozen applications, those are applications we are happy to weed because they aren't that interested. Adding an application on JOE or EJM can be as little as 1 minutes work, our application is going to take you 10-15 minutes or so. Some people want to work here, others don't. As for the burden on you, that is a plus for us. We usually mention somewhere in the ad or application.ģ. It's not super cheap, but you should be able to take care of your reference letters for applications like ours for a couple hundred bucks. In terms of letter writers, you can use Interfolio as a dossier system. Our IT guys take care of everything for us, so it saves us a fair amount of administrative time and a little bit of money.Ģ. It is part of the hiring process laid out by HR, but it would be fairly easy to get a waiver to do it through another system. This is a lot, and almost kills the benefits of having all the others using centralized systems. Especially when they use their application forms in their own websites.ģ0% of my applications are either by e-mail or by university-specific websites, and it's not a meme. They put a considerable burden on letter writers, and they create unnecessary coordination costs.
